Background story
Scandinavian Touch AB was founded in 1997 in Sweden with the mission to produce a smart, sustainable, and ergonomic seating solution for outdoor use. The result was Walkstool – today the world’s only three-legged stool with telescopic legs.
Walkstool is our sole product, available in six different seat heights ranging from 45 to 75 cm. All models are manufactured in our own factory in Sweden, emphasizing quality, functionality, and long-lasting durability. Since 2025, the company has been a member of the Swedish Security and Defence Industry Association (SOFF).
Patented Swedish Innovation
Walkstool is patented and trademarked in multiple countries. The first prototype was developed by an inventor in Lidköping, Sweden, who combined technical knowledge from working as an electrician with studies at the Idéum Inventor School in Grimslöv. This blend of practical experience and technical expertise laid the foundation for Walkstool’s unique design.
Used Worldwide
Walkstool is sold in approximately 40 countries and is designed for both recreational and professional use. It is popular among hunters, photographers, outdoor enthusiasts, and professionals such as electricians, installers, and service technicians who frequently work in low positions. By sitting on Walkstool – with or without extended telescopic legs – the knees and back are relieved, while the user maintains a stable and comfortable working posture.
A Sustainable Product
We are committed to producing durable products that benefit both the user and the environment. Most components are manufactured locally in Sweden, close to our factory, and spare parts are available online for all models, allowing you to maintain your Walkstool for many years.
Walkstool products undergo rigorous testing by the Swedish Testing Agency. Tests include assessments of maximum load capacity and component strength. For example, the Walkstool Comfort withstood a maximum load of approximately 490 kg in laboratory tests. Components have also been tested under extreme conditions, from -30 °C to +90 °C, as well as in 95% humidity at 38 °C, without any issues. All textile components are tested and free from PFAS, ensuring both safety and sustainability.
